MISSED ME!
...playing some of my songs along with other local singers the Half Moon Cafe, Roberts Park, Saltaire between 1.00 and 5pm on Sunday 13 September 2009.
...at Saltaire Festival 2009 with triple-harpist Fiona-Katie Roberts on Saturday 19th September, 7 to 9.15pm in Victoria Hall, Saltaire.
One of the audience writes: "We thoroughly enjoyed your gig and your contribution to it. There were a few of your songs we'd not heard before - we particularly liked the one for Katie, the John Donne one for Olga, and the one inspired by Ros's picture. You were in great form and I've never heard you do better versions of Bradford Beck, Yorkshire Welcome and Baildon Sky Rocket..."
Fiona-Katie's manager writes: "A big thank you for working with Fiona Katie she really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was electric."
**A NON-musical version of "Makin' Light" was broadcast as a Radio Play on Bradford Community Broadcasting 106.6FM. CD copies are available free of charge from Eddie now.

Lament of city pride

SIR – Noting that you report the demise of Bradford City Regeneration, I believe that its successor can hardly do any worse.
The city centre has, in my lifetime, been more destroyed than regenerated, and its current lamentable condition has inspired me to write my latest song, The State Of Bradford.
We proud Bradfordians are ashamed of what we have to show visitors in our centre, and the current plans for its future, should any of them come to pass, give little further encouragement.
Bradford centre needs building up into a dense hive of commerce and culture. It has, in fact, been built down over the years.

I'll be at the Love Apple in Bradford on Thursday 12th November as part of a fundraiser for Save the Children, which will cost you all of £2 to get in.
You can find me at least once a month with some of my songs on a Sunday evening (eg Sunday 11th October 09) at the Junction pub, Baildon, and less regularly at the Bradford Music Club at The Meeting House, Quaker's Lane Rawdon, which is usually held on the third Sunday of the month at 7pm. Next appearnce 17 Jan 2010.

"BELLS" a Brontë musical was presented at Saltaire Festival 2008
on Friday 19th and Sunday 21st September in Saltaire United Reformed Church, then at West Lane Chapel, Haworth Friday 26th September and finally a cameo-version at Ilkley Literature Festival, in Ilkley Playhouse, on Saturday 4th October 2008.
