Am very much looking forward to 2012. I have a new CD on the way (my fourth), some gigs, some musical work with local schools, some music for (and a role in) a Shakespeare play, and (I hope) production of a new play of my own. Details of all these things to follow here.

Wll be performing (and launching that CD) with triple-harpist Fiona-Katie Roberts on Friday 23 March 2012, 8pm at Caroline St Social Club, Saltaire.

Fiona-Katie and I have been booked to appear at the Topic Folk Club, Bradford, next October

Apart from solo singing of my own work I can now call on a jazz trio behind me and we call ourselves "EVENING STANDARDS"

The State of Bradford

My songs and poems mix fun with ‘serious’
social comment, intended to provide
thought-provoking entertainment. This
website includes audio clips of my songs
and lyric texts, as well as a couple of
poems to give you an idea of my work.

I have also written three full-length
musicals with strong Yorkshire themes.
The community musical Saltairy Tales 
2005 and its update in 2006 were a
central feature of Saltaire Festival.

My first musical entitled Bells won
an award from Yorkshire Playwrights
(now renamed Script Yorkshire).
It was re-written for performances
in 2008 at Saltaire Festival, in Haworth
and at Ilkley Literature Festival.

I appear at various private and public
functions. News page tells more...
and I have done a lot of work
for local radio.
 
My verse version of "Saltairy Tales" has just sold out and a second edition is now available!
All my CD's and books are now purchasable via the
Saltaire World Heritage on-line shop.
